How It Works
What to Expect
01
The Conversation
Your EP sits with you and listens. We cover your exercise history, your schedule, and what's been getting in the way. Together you set the goals. You know what you're working toward and why.
02
The Assessment
We look at how you move. A movement screen checks your range of motion across the body. Where relevant, we use VALD force technology, industry-leading strength measurement used in elite sport and clinical settings worldwide. You know your numbers.
03
Your Program
You get a program built around your body, your schedule, and what you're working toward. Your EP explains every part of it and stays with you from there. You have a clear plan and someone in your corner.
An Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) is a university-trained health professional who specialises in exercise as medicine. We assess your body, identify what's driving your pain, fatigue or condition, and prescribe a program to address it properly. We work with people managing chronic pain, injury, hormonal changes, metabolic conditions and more. It is clinical, evidence-based and built around you.
Your EP listens first. Your history, your goals, what you've already tried. Then they look at how you move and what's driving the pain or fatigue. You leave with a clear plan specific to you.
Yes. Most of our members come to us before things get bad. They know something isn't right and they want proper support. No diagnosis needed, no referral required. Tired, sore, or stuck is enough.
Yes, we are registered NDIS and DVA providers. If you have a care plan or GP referral, some or all of your costs may be covered. Ask us during your assessment and we'll work it out with you.
Exercise Physiology is different from physio. We specialise in long-term, exercise-based treatment. We build a plan around your whole life, your habits, your history. A lot of our members come to us after physio hasn't worked.
We run a clinical Exercise Physiology and strength training facility in Teneriffe, Brisbane. Every member starts with a thorough one-on-one assessment. Your EP then builds a program specific to your body, your health history and your goals. You train in our facility, guided by your EP, with regular check-ins built in. It is not a gym. It is a health facility that trains you properly.
We have tiered membership options to suit different levels of support. The right fit depends on your health situation and how much involvement you want from your EP. The best way to find out is to book an assessment. We will match you with the right option after we understand your situation properly. We will ensure we provide you with all costs associated during your assessment. You and your EP will decide on what fits in with your lifestyle.
Yes, parking is available at 232 Arthur Street, Teneriffe. We are also less than a 5 minute walk from Gasworks with free parking available. If you have any questions before your visit, give us a call on 07 3077 7340 and we will sort you out.
DVA clients need a referral from their GP or treating doctor. Medicare clients need a GP Management Plan or Team Care Arrangement. NDIS clients need Exercise Physiology included in their plan. Not sure where you sit? Call us on 07 3077 7340 and we will walk you through exactly what you need.
Consistency always beats frequency. We have structured the memberships so that you start with frequency and then taper to consistency. We have weekly and fortnightly options available on memberships, and if that doesn't work, we also have pay as you go where you and your EP will decide on how far apart your sessions are.
No. Some of our best results come from people who have not exercised in a long time. Your body responds to the right stimulus at any age. We start where you are right now, not where you think you should be.
This is exactly why you need an EP and not a personal trainer. Every program starts with a clinical assessment. We know what your body can and cannot handle before we ask it to do anything. Everything is prescribed, progressed carefully and monitored by a qualified health professional.
A regular gym hands you equipment and leaves you to figure out the rest. We are different in how we work and how the space feels. We have three dedicated training spaces with dimmable lighting — so it is easy on your eyes and actually pleasant to be in. It is quiet, calm and set up for focused training, nothing like a busy commercial gym floor. Every person who trains with us has a program built specifically for their body by an Accredited Exercise Physiologist who stays involved as you progress. You are not left to guess. You know what you are doing and why.
Of course, life happens. We have structured the memberships to be flexible around you. You can arrange to move your sessions within a fortnight period, or simply place a hold. We will provide you with all the information at your initial assessment.
Absolutely. A lot of couples train with us, sometimes together, sometimes separately. Book an assessment for each person and we will build programs specific to each of you.
Most people notice something within the first 2 to 4 weeks. Better sleep and less stiffness usually come first. Strength and mobility follow. Real, lasting change takes 8 to 12 weeks of consistent training. We track your progress so you can see it clearly.
